So we'll be out in the Lower East Side to petition and flyer for the Bucks for Boilers Act, a bill to fund the replacement of outdated, dirty gas with clean energy! If passed, Bucks for Boilers will mandate that all gas boilers in need of replacement are replaced with heat pumps through a state-funded program. Ultimately, a home that is properly insulated and using the latest electric heat pump technology will result in lower bills over time. The Bucks for Boilers Act is an investment in our future. We'll be collecting petition signatures urging local State Senator Kavanaugh to join on as a co-sponsor!

Sant'Egidio will hold a candlelight vigil to pray for all the victims of gun violence, with a special intention for those who have died in New York City. Sant'Egidio believes in the power of prayer and the importance of remembering individuals by name. **Signs of Solidarity Event in Lambertville** There have been dozens of incidents across the country of ICE agents entering small businesses without warrants and detaining people. But business owners can take some simple steps to protect their workers by posting "employee only" signs for the private areas of the business — which indicates that a signed warrant is required to enter that area. At the same time, business owners can make sure that all immigrants know they’re welcome at their establishment by posting welcoming signs in the front windows. For this event, we go out in pairs to approach local businesses to invite them to put up signs in their businesses. Before heading out, we will review what to say and hand out signs. Then we will gather afterward to discuss how it went.

Please join us every Thursday on the corner of routes 150 and 43 in West Sand Lake, NY to resist fascism and call out the atrocities the federal administration is committing against the good people of America! Our rally is also a weekly food drive that supports immigrant families whose aid has been cut by the Trump regime. Please bring a non-perishable food item to support our cause.
